History of Establishment : The Bihpuria Post Graduate Trainning College the only teacher education institute of the lower part of Lakhimpur district was formally established on 9th August 1993. For the purpose a general meeting was held at Lohit Dikrong Higher Secondary School which was convened by the present President of Governing Body Shri Jadav Sarmah. The meeting was presided over by Principal of the H.S. School Late Kamalaswar Satola. The meeting decided to established a teacher education college at Bihpuria. The nearby two B.Ed colleges at Lakhimpur is at a distance of sixty K.M. and at Biswanath Chariali of Sonitpur district is at a distance of 120 K.M. The Educationists and well wishers formed a Governing Body at the General meeting taking Lt. Kamaleswar Satola as President and Sri Jadav Sarmah as Secretary and twenty other members. From that year the College imparting teacher education after getting proper permission from Govt. of Assam, Affiliated to Dibrugarh University and recognised by NCTE. ERC. The College completed its building on its own land allotted by Govt. of Assam.
Now the NCTE, ERC recognized intake of 50 student of one unit for the two year B.Ed. course from the session 2015-17. The result of the College in every year is satisfactory. The result of the last three years of the College is as follows.
